Dickens Yard

Judicial review application refused

The application for permission to apply for judicial review of the planning consent for the Dickens Yard site was re-heard in the High Court on Friday 2 July.

This was a renewed application by Anthony Elley, a West Ealing resident backed by SEC, following an earlier refusal of permission. However, at a public hearing in the law courts in Fetter Lane, the judge did not approve his request.

If at the renewal of the application permission had been granted for a full review of the planning decision by Ealing Council, the Court would have considered where and when a full hearing should be held. This process has now been halted.

Having supported Tony in bringing this case, SEC is disappointed in this decision. Legal advisors are considering options for next steps and further announcements can be expected in due course.
