are not yet convinced that the scheme works together as a whole ... thinking needs to be applied to the whole project as a totality and until then we would not be able to give the scheme our support."
REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD OBJECT:

· The tallest building, 40 storeys and 138 metres (453 feet) high that sits just below the maximum permissible height for aircraft safety, will cast a huge shadow across Haven Green and beyond, especially in the winter when sunshine is most welcome.
· Five/six other very tall buildings. The three facing Haven Green, between 29 and 54 metres (96 - 176 feet) high, will add to the shadow on the south side of Haven Green. The three facing the Broadway are between 22 - 42 metres (72 - 138 feet).
· One `designer' building with other massive, architecturally uninteresting, poorly designed buildings that together do not give the development an integrated look.
· The development is out of scale with the generally low-rise nature of Ealing and it will completely blight the two Conservation Areas it straddles.
· 704 expensive flats crammed in - very high density - with very cramped interior living space and only 394 car parking spaces for them.
· So many new residents will put extra strain on existing local infrastructure ie GP surgeries, Ealing Hospital, primary and secondary school places, leisure facilities, transport services, parking.
· Demolition of the Arcadia parking with no replacement parking at all for shoppers.
· Only 4800 sq m of additional retail floor space over and above what exists today with unit sizes for fewer shops and no unit size large enough for a department store.
· All vehicle access (cars and lorries) from just one entrance on Springbridge Road causing traffic congestion and risk to Christ Church schoolchildren.
· No provision for a much-needed off-street bus station.
· No integration with Crossrail or Ealing Broadway station.
· No community leisure facilities.
· In summary, an overpowering development which is not in harmony with its surroundings and does not meet the community's needs.
